Coffee with Cafe Owners. Scroll down to learn more.
Hey, all you beautiful coffee lovers!
I hope you are all doing super well. I am so excited to bring you a new episode and the beginning of a new series here on the Home Barista Podcast.

Within this series, I will be sitting down with Cafe Owners to talk about the Future of the Hospitality and Coffee Industry. This topic for the podcast has arisen at a great time as New Zealand has reopened its international borders which means more people can visit New Zealand and experience Kiwi Hospitality and Coffee Culture and bring their experiences and culture to us.
It also means that Kiwis can leave New Zealand to visit other countries to gain new experiences and a deeper passion for the industry and bring them back home with them. It is a very exciting time for the industry and I am excited to have these conversations.
To kick off the series I am sitting down with one of the coolest dudes I have had the pleasure of meeting this year. He goes by the name Greg Cornes and is the owner-operator of Goodness Gracious Cafes in Auckland. Greg is very vocal on his social media channels around adopting technology and automation within his cafes to help with the flow of staff and customers and to also lighten the load on his staff to allow them more time and freedom to give a world-class service that will keep the customer coming back time and time again. I am so pumped about this episode and this conversation in particular as the industry is going through a rapid change of pace and is heading more and more towards automation on the floor and behind the coffee bar.
What Greg shares from personal experiences, his current business plan and what he is experiencing within other cafes around his region of Auckland are super insightful, encouraging and motivational points for anyone currently in business, wanting to take the next step with their business or just starting out.
I hope you enjoy this collab episode here on the Home Barista Podcast. I would love to hear your thoughts and any feedback on today's episode and any of the past episodes by dropping me an email at thedrummingbarista@gmail.com via a DM on Instagram at The Drumming Barista.

Keen to support the show with a monetary gift? It is not expected but very much appreciated. I have big plans for this podcast and am investing monetary gifts towards investing in a new microphone and camera to help take the audio and visual quality to another level. G'day, everyone. Apologies. This post had the wrong banner Image at the top. The Home Barista Podcast is not taking a short break. I was planning on taking one throughout August, but my schedule changed around a bit and I got some free time to record some new episodes. Thanks for sticking around.
This is a great episode! Loving the insights here. No doubt they're doing to ruffle a few feathers!
